Anonymization of claims data in accordance with HIPAA safe harbor rules leaves the lowest level of geography as the 3-digit zip code (ZIP3) regions.
Source Meridian and PurpleLab receives raw Claims transactions at least on a weekly and quarterly basis from disparate Commercial Claims sources and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), respectively.
Source Meridian and PurpleLab ingests those raw claims feeds and through an automated ETL process structurally transforms those transactions into a set of Facts & Dimensions tables that are specific to Claim Types:
• Medical which breaks down into Institutional or UB04/837I as well as Professional or 1500/837P claim formats; and
• Pharmacy or NCPDP claim format
Source Meridian and PurpleLab’s Claims Repository spans 10 years from 2009 to March 2020. Overall Claims and Patient volumes are in excess of 30 billion Claims transactions covering in excess of 300 million anonymized unique individuals.
