The Pandemic as of Thursday-25-May-2023

Data was obtained from the 2019 Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 (2019-nCoV) Data Repository by Johns Hopkins Centers for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE). The data indicate, daily updates, the location and number of reported confirmed COVID-19 cases, deaths and recoveries. Geographical data are presented at the ZIP3 level.

In response to the global pandemic of COVID-19 infection, the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at the Whiting School of Engineering, with technical support from ESRI and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, developed an interactive web-based dashboard to visualize and track reported cases in real-time.

The data underlying the map above, contains the location and number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, deaths and recoveries for the U.S. All of the data collected and displayed is made freely available via a GitHub repository:

From this data, Source Meridian and PurpleLab create aggregations of confirmed infections and deaths by 3-digit Zip code regions (ZIP3).
